Adventurers of Clusterspace: Third summary

The city in the sky.

The Dark Star left the mining city of the ice asteroid and while the navigator calculated a route back to Trinona the crew started to prepare the ship for a pursuit and a battle. They know the One-Eyed would not leave to escape them after the incident in his headquarters. The gunners moved to the weapon decks and the co-pilot scanned the wildspace and the asteroid belt to found suspicious ships. The time went on finally they were called via the arcane-magical communication system by a calidian customs ship. The captain of the calidian spelljammer appeared on the bridge as a "hologram" and called Kenrik stopped the Dark Star because of a routine customs check. Kenrik and Rob felt it could be a trap and the ship was send by the One-Eyed so Rob tried to temporize at least until they can jump to spelljamming speed. Thanked to Rob’s diplomacy he won enough time and when the calidian captain realised Rob trick they had only 3-4 shoots before the Dark Star left the gravity of the asteroid belt and jumped faster speed.

The first day they made a wildspace funeral for the Old Man and his corpse was sent for a long trip via the wildspace till the central sun of Astromundi. The route back to Trinona was event-free and they arrived to the Trinonan space about one week later.

According to Rob's decision they would stay only 1-2 hours on the asteroid city in the external ring of Trinona, just while he would negotiate with Ny'ska. After the negotiation the Dark Star would fly to the planet and would stay three days on a floating city. Thus after the spelljammer landed, Rob and Rat went to Ny’ska headquarters which was close to the crowded port. The other crew members remained on the board, except of the “dwarf” mechanic who went to find some mechanical shop because he wanted to rebuilt the steamjack and upgrade it with a stormchamber. The negotiation with Ny’ska was hard, but because Rob’s player increased the diplomatic and bargain skills of the character it ended successful for him. He got some months delay at the end, and he knew everything happened according to Ny’ska plans (except of the Old Man’s death). The young girl who was one of the passengers of the Dark Star was Ny’ska’s agent and now she works very close to the One-Eyed. The older woman was a “suicide assassin” to deflect the attention from the girl and lead One-Eyed to a wrong way.

blogra blade.jpgWhile Rob and Rat visited to Ny’ska during that time Dev and Boris was sitting on the observation deck, smoking and drinking some good wine. Dev was who noticed some kind of movement on the corridor, but it was something like a shadow. He did not ask just drew his pistol and shot into the shadow.  Notting happened but Boris drew his sword and asked Dev why had shot. Dev said something about a shadow but either he neither Boris did not see any sign of an intruder. Boris presumed Dev drunk too much alcohol and imagined something what was not there. At that moment the thoric gunslinger perceived the moving shadow again and he shot again. Boris also noticed it and because he had some knowledge about the undeads he knew it was a Shadow. They had not any magical weapon so it was impossible to hit the shadow but they were lucky, because one of the NPC crew members (a gun mage) heard the shots and came to the observation deck. He made their weapons magical with spells and they started to hunt for the shadow. It was a long hunting but finally they killed the undead. When they reported what happen only Rat was who remembered the girl in the arcane magical tube summoned not one but two shadow about one week earlier. They did not know where had been hiding the shadows until that time but one more should be somewhere on the board. According to Rob’s decision the Dark Star flew to Trinona, and landed on a floating city called Jewel of the Sky. After the landing Rob hired a priest to search and destroy the other undead but the priest did not find it. So the shadow had already left the spelljammer somewhere (or the mining city in the external ring or here in the floating city).

They had three free days before according to Rob’s plan they would flight to Ironport what was the destination of that ship which transported the “hibernated” antilan girl, and try to find the mysterious Sina Mora. During the three days everybody arranged his private business; Boris visited his family which lived in this planet, Dev went a brothel, Vos repaired and build the steamjack, Kenrik prepared the spelljammer for the next trip and Rob tried to find some cargo to Ironport and collect more information about the wild magic. He got that information about the wild magic from a local sage that it is rare and almost impossible to “cure” it. Maybe in the wild magical zones of the wildspace it could be possible but very dangerous for a ship and its crew to fly into a wild magical area. He was luckier in the business so the cargo bay of the Dark Star became filled with some bin of alcohol for a tavern and with three caged manticores and two caged hellhounds for a gladiator pit to Ironport.
